Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Forward Planning Documents

Below there are links to Forward Planning Documents prepared in 2021 for Torfaen CBC and  Blaenau Gwent CBC. They refer to the suitability of selected area for renewable energy installations.
I am assured by my local Torfaen councillor that they are currently valid. I hope RES are aware of them as at first sight it would appear the massive scheme that they propose would conflict with the conclusions outlined below.
(Item 2 does not refer to the area of the  Mynydd Maen proposals but may be of interest to those who live in Pantygasseg.)

Document 3, in relation to our wind farm, LAU 46: MYNYDD TWYN-GLAS, MYNYDD MAEN, MYNYDD HENLLYS RIDGE, concludes as follows:-

The Summary of Sensitivity-Wind says “The assessment identifies that the landscape is of high sensitivity, the landscape character of the area would only be able to accommodate development of this type in limited situations

Guidance on Siting says “Avoid placing turbines on narrow sections of ridge where they will appear on the skyline

The Landscape capacity, wind turbines says “The area has high sensitivity to wind development. Potentially this area could accommodate a small-scale development

The plans for 13 massive turbines crammed in on the top of our mountain completely ignore all of these recommendations.
