PEDW Planning and Environment Decisions Wales NOTES

Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) is the division of the Welsh Government that processes Developments of National Significance (DNS) planning applications and appoints independent Planning Inspectors to examine the applications. Further information about the role of PEDW and our Inspectors is available online: https://www.gov.wales/planning-and-environment-decisions-wales/protocol

Our guidance on the DNS process is available online:

https://gov.wales/developments-national-significance-dns-engaging-process – Guide for communities and interested persons

The documents that PEDW publishes for this proposal can be viewed via the planning casework portal: https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/ – search for 3276725

As this project is still at the pre-application stage, any concerns should be raised with the developer directly: http://www.mynyddmaen-windfarm.co.uk/contact-us/

If the application is submitted to PEDW and accepted for examination, we will undertake a period of publicity and consultation lasting at least five weeks, during that time you will be able to write to us with your comments on the merits of the scheme.
